Before & After
This was my hair when I started my natural journey versus my hair 3 years later. This journey is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, but I did it & so can you! THE FIRST STEP IS CUTTING OUT HEAT. I KNOW EVERYONE SAYS THIS, BUT THIS STEP IS TRULY ESSENTIAL. I THOUGHT I WOULD BE ABLE TO STRAIGHTEN MY HAIR WHILE TRANSITIONING AT THE SAME TIME, BUT THAT DID NOT WORK. I HAD TO ELIMINATE HEAT AND FULLY COMMIT TO THIS JOURNEY FOR MY CURLS TO LOOK HEALTHY.
BIG Tip for the Going Natural Queens & Kings
When beginning your natural hair journey you need to trim!!!
trimming consistently will help you actually notice your progress. Now Trimming doesn’t necessarily mean cutting inches of your hair off, it just means slowly cutting off dead ends once in a while. as a result, your hair will feel and look healthier. I started to see major results in my journey when I started trimming. At the beginning of my journey, I wanted to retain my length so I refrained from ever cutting my hair, however, I felt like I wasn’t making any progress in my journey. I realized that in order to see a difference, I needed to be constantly trimming my dead ends. After doing this every 2-3 months for a year straight I noticed my hair becoming much fuller and healthier.
